Lambaian Kaabah

Alhamdullillah sangat-sangat myself & hubby dah finally disenaraikan ke list 'TERPILIH'. We had passed our health check, undergone the 2-days Intensive Course and passed our examinations....(myself with flying colors...heheheh....jangan marah ye roommate I tu....). So, the next step tinggal Kursus Perdana (after raya & 2 weeks before the first flight to Mekah). Sekarang ni tengah semangat nak listkan apa yang nak dibawa....maximum load per person is 20 kg jer....balik from Mekah boleh bawak 35 kg.....yang lain-lain tu kalau nak sopping sakan kena courier laa...kalau tak senget kapalterbang....
I kena sentiasa ingatkan myself tentang preparation dari segi mentally, spiritually and of course physically.....(tang physical yg malas sket sbb kena start brisk walk...)

Aunty Rocky's Visit

For the first time after 11 years, Rocky (Shaza's Aunt) and Rowena (Rocky's only daughter) came and visited our family (especially to see Shaza) last night. Yusof (one of Shaza's uncle) and his wife and son, Zu and Amir were also present. This is Rocky & Rowena's 16-days excursion in Malaysia, visiting families back in Batu Pahat, Pontian, Seremban, PJ, Klang and also Tawau. They will be going back to Perth on 29 June and will be back in Malaysia next year in October for Nina's wedding (Shaza's cousin).

Hai......apa nak buat,.... harge minyak dah naik...kata ari tu dalam bulan Ogos....ni semalam pulak dibantainye.....sampai tak sempat I nak isik.....jem giler kat kawasan rumah sbb semua orang nak isi minyak before 12 midnight.....Tak apalah ....rezeki I tak murah time ni....

Tak lama lagi sure harge barang naik walaupun ada Menteri yang kata tak.....they all tu bolehlah, gaji banyak....
Kesian kat kite.....pikir-pikir lagi kesian pada orang lain yg gaji RM 500 sebulan, isteri tak bekerja, anak lebih dari 4 orang.....dalam keadaan macam ni, macamana they make ends meet??

Tengah Tak Ada Mood

Tengah tak ada mood lah nak buat kerje.....alasan....hopefully by next week mood I datang balik....sebenornye tak ada mood sbb opis punye hal.....tapi tak elok kan kite perbesarkan perkara yg actually besor gak but....kalau buat tak berapa kesah....nanti ok kot.... Only if we work on the problem ...sebenornye....tengah malas nak pikir to work on the solution.....yelah nak procastinate...sempena cuti sekolah ni , semacam cuti pulak pikiran ni.....

I'm Back.....

Dah berbulan I tinggalkan blog ni sampai lupa user-id n password. Baru kejap tadi reset...harap-harap tak lupa lagi....

Haa...inilah yang kekadang tu muka Bapak monyok. Si Alia ni bak kata orang 'dah bagi betis nak pulak peha'. Apa tak nya, Bapak bagi dia online ngan Starfall tu dia tak puas-puas walhal dah 2 jam melekat kat computer.....dahlah Bapak banyak kerja lagi nak buat. Walaupun Alia belajar banyak from Starfall, lain kali kesian lah sikit kat Bapak tu......

Alia's First Day At Kindergarten

Pagi-pagi lagi Bapak dah suruh posing......malam tadi Alia tidur lambat, so bangun pagi mood kureng baik....Tapi bila dah mandi & pakai uniform.....Alia pun tak sabar nak pegi school....Ni dah ok dah....dah breakfast makan roti + nutella. Bergaya ngan beg Barbie yg comel macam orangnya. Uniform, saiz terkecik kat sekolah....kasut putih pun carik saiz paling kecik kat kedai... Langkah pertama ku ke menara gading......Kenapa mata Alia bulat bonar?? Alia nervous ke? Kawan dia yang tak pakai uniform tu nama dia Munirah.....Alia asyik lupa jer nama dia... Kawan-kawan Alia ramai sebenarnya....yang lain-lain tu tah ke mana lah....Alia shared fries dia with her best friend, Munirah.

Ni kindergarten ke circus?? Penat betul si clown tu tak habis-habis buat belon dari tadi......... Budak-budak ni bila pecah satu, mintak lagi satu.....

This is my clafouti

My fruit clafouti, very easy to make....

Ingredients

• Can peach slices


• 1/3 cup plain flour


• 2 tbsp self-raising flour


• A quarter cup of castor sugar


• 3 eggs


• 2 cups milk


• 1 tbsp vanilla essence

Method

• Grease a shallow loyang & arrange the peach slices in it(can substitute with mixed fruits if you don't have peaches)


• In a blender, mix the flour, sugar, eggs,milk,vanilla until you get a smooth batter


• Pour over the peaches & bake for about 50 minutes or the clafouti is golden brown

Haaa......nak tau apa bende ni? Kecik jea, nampak harmless...it's a plastic sexaphone.....hubby beli kat pasar malam....dah lama dah.....Inside one plastic bag ada drum, violin and trumpet sekali, semuanya kecik-kecik.......Memanglah murah, saje nak hiburkan hati Alia sebab gantikan gitar dia yang dah patah.....Ingat tak ada bunyi....tapi...Subhanallah !!!!......Tak sangka pulak keluar bunyi bagai nak gegar serumah......Alia kekadang tu mainkan the sexaphone betul-betul kat lubang telinga Shaza, kakak tersayang.....while she was taking her nap yg lama tu......"PHOTTTTT!!!!", "Kakak !!!....Bangun!!! ....Solat !!!"

Busy packing.....included umbrella....who knows it might rain in Langkawi as Johor, Pahang, Kelantan were flooded.

22 Dec (Saturday) 2007

• Soo....sunny.....with blue sky. Arrived at Langkawi Airport about 1.40 pm. Rented a car (Nissan Sentra) for RM 350 from Sat - Tue.
• Went straight to Red Tomato (Pantai Cenang) for a decent lunch. This is a mamak restaurant. As usual, service was a bit slow....
• 3.30 pm ~ Headed to our resort (at Pantai Cenang) and checked-in.
• 4.20 until 5.30 pm ~ Our first dip in the pool.....just us.....nobody else....so cool and refreshing.
• 6.00 pm ~ Early dinner at Boom Boom Cafe (located near our resort & specialising in Tandoori and seafood) as Alia said she's very hungry....as if she could gobble a horse. A bit pricey though for 2 roti boom, 3 naan bread, 1 fried rice + drinks, but the side dishes (chicken & meat) were good.
• 6.30 pm ~ A short visit to Awana Porto Malai - photo session.
• 8.30 pm ~ After maghrib prayers went shopping for slippers, snacks, toilettries & fruits.
• 10.30 pm ~ Lights off.

19 Dec (Wednesday) 2007

We reached Klang (at about 2.00 pm something) with 3 batang lemang (bought at Bukit Rahman Putra), trifle and peach clafouti. Much to our delight, the rendang, sup tulang and kuah kacang were already cooked by Mak Su and Mak Cik Noridah (hubby's sisters). Cik Ju (Mak Cik Noridah's helper)was in the midst of preparing kuah lodeh. Since there's not much to do.....hubby was hooked with the karaoke set until 6.30 pm......Stopped for prayers and giving chance to Ariff for a few songs....and they continued singing after dinner.

20 Dec (Thursday) 2007

Woke up early to cook the nasi minyak and acar timun. Fitri cooked curry ikan tongkol......(just like the nasi dagang style). By 7.45 am everybody was ready for the Aidil Adha prayers at Surau Al-Ikhwan. Mak Long arrived early and she brought along some grapes and bananas...perfect, since our house lacked of fruits.

The prayers started at 8.30 am and the surau was packed with people. I guess not many of them balik kampung this year.....The khutbah touched on the meaning of qurban and our role in berkorban towards Islam, parents' responsibilities, the challenges in raising children,the maksiat that are happening in our society...........

I felt good that morning, the weather was crystal clear and the sun was shining. The atmosphere was serene and people were happy and greeted each other in ukhwah spirit.

Back home, we quickly took out the marinated chicken that I prepared the day before and deep fried them. Tossed some salad, lined-up together with the nasi minyak, curry ikan tongkol, acar timun, trifle ~ kuah kacang, rendang, lemang(we packed from last night's dinner) and we had our raya feast .........

19 December (Wednesday)

I took leave to prepare for the get together dinner with Hubby's family at Klang. I've already prepared my trifle the night before. Hmmm...since I felt I need to bring something else which doesn't take much time to prepare,.....I quickly browsed through my recipes collection (taken from magazines).....Then, Yahooo!!....A recipe worth trying...From one Mak Datin who lives abroad....she said it is easy to prepare this Peach Clafouti.....just blend in some milk, flour, eggs, sugar and pour over a greased pan with arranged peaches on it....and put into the oven and bake for about 40 - 50 minutes or golden brown....There you go, it's sooo easy......what can go wrong...??? The clafouti can be eaten warm or cold and you can serve that with ice-cream. You can even substitute the peaches with other fruits.....

My Gingerbread Man.....

"Run,run as fast as you can, no one can catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man...". Alia has been reciting this phrase for this past few weeks.....You can feel Christmas is approaching near through TV, shopping malls, brochures......She really needs a Gingerbread Man, that's what she claimed.....As for me, I browsed through Ija's (my sister) cookie recipe book last night for the hope to get the easiest gingerbread recipe.....We are going to celebrate Aidil Adha.....why are you doing with Christmas recipes? Hmmm....I was thinking that it might be a good idea to bring a non-traditional food for tomorrow's get-together-with-the-Klang-clan.....Anyway, I'm set to make my trifle tonight.....and if possible the Gingerbread Man.....(if it works alright). Last night's Date Bar Cookie was 'okay' and 'good' as mentioned by Shaza. She gobbled-up 2 bars before bedtime.....Hmmm not bad for a first-timer to be baking just by browsing through the recipe book. Thanks Ija, I know that you don't need that book....hehehe.....

TGIF.....Yahooo !!! Lake Garden/Mid Valley?

Thank Allah its Friday.......

I'm always looking forward to Fridays.....In actual fact its started earlier....Thursday. There's a number of activities that I'm looking forward to, such as....hmmmm....go to the wet market? house cleaning? urrh....nope, not that kind of activities. Hubby sayang, what are our plans this coming weekend? Any shopping from the free vouchers that I got earlier???

I like Saturdays especially when it is sunny.....Usually my youngest girl (Alia) will beg us to go to the Lake Garden, KL. It's a fun family activity where I will usually prepare some cold drinks, pack a few plastic cups, Alia's tricycle, and equip ourselves with our casual gear for a breeze walk. We will head to the childrens' playground first to satisfy Alia's craze with the slides, who is accompanied by Shaza and Kak Fi. Shaza is too big for the playground now & I think she doesn't like the idea of having to watch over Alia all the time ....Another routine during Lake Garden excursion is that hubby will buy some ice-cream......for the kids as well.

But not during these months....since the monsoon season is on....I think we will be doing some shopping then.....We have to wait Alia dear....don't worry, next week will be LANGKAWI .....yeaaah

Hi, Howdy all...What am I doing in this blog? Just trying out...who knows I can squiz out my emotions or ideas especially when I'm bored at home....or even work ....heheheheh....(sorry, no time during office...)
